For Luxury Class: You will be met in Uyuni and will depart at 10 am on this unforgettable experience towards the town of Villamar. On the way, you will visit the train cemetery, where you can see the remains of the locomotives of the 19th and 20th centuries. Later, you will visit the church of San Cristobal and the towns of Culpina K and Alota. As well as the Valley of Rocks, a famous group of rock formations caused by wind erosion. You will continue with the visit to Catal and Vinto lagoons. In the afternoon, you will arrive at the village of Villamar and visit the Cave Paintings and the Tomas Lakjas Necropolis’ Fort.

All of these stops along the way make up some of the best highlights of Bolivia. So be sure to enjoy the journey just as much as the destination. The salt flats in Bolivia are the most magnificent in the world, but there’s far more to the country than just that. Scattered with quaint towns and villages, as well as beautiful scenery, there’s hardly an inch of this country you won’t want to photograph.

Included: Private excursions in 4×4 Jeep, Guide, and Entrance fees in Uyuni; Accommodation in Uyuni. (Meals – Lunch, Dinner).

Note: Due to the weather and road conditions the routes and hotel reservations can sometimes be changed without notice. This itinerary is only for reference and is not to be taken as an exact itinerary. Rain, snow, ice, and strong winds for example can cause some parts of the route to be temporarily impassable and may oblige us to make changes in the itinerary. This can lead to certain disappointments, but we always ensure that our guests are making the most of the weather conditions provided.

Rainy season: the rainy/wet season is roughly from January to April (subject to change). During this period parts of the Uyuni Salt Flats may be covered with water. It’s still possible to do the trip, to visit the Uyuni Salt Flats and the beautiful lagoons, the highlights of the trip for most people. However, with water on the salar you cannot cross it for hours like in the dry season and you generally cannot get to Isla Incahuasi / Fish Island.

However, we still firmly believe that it’s worth the trip. So if you can only make it during this period, be sure to still book the trip. It’s not a site that you ever want to miss out on.
