Want more days? Fewer days? Fewer waterfalls? More nightlife? Let us know! We do the planning just to make it easy on you, but the trip is all yours – we’ll add or subtract based on what matters most to you.

Days 1-2

Manaus

  • Travel day down to Manaus in the heart of the Amazon.
  • Explore the markets, theater, shops and cafes of Manaus on your own.
  • Dine at our favored restaurants and feast on fish caught from the Amazon.

Manaus is the gateway to the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest and with a rich history, there is plenty to keep you occupied from visiting the ornate Amazonas Theater and Opera House to the lively Adolpho Lisboa Market. While planning the trip with your travel specialist, ask to reserve you a table at one of our favored restaurants to enjoy delicious, fresh and locally caught fish from the Amazon.

Days 2-5

The Amazon

  • Spot pink river dolphins & try your hand at fishing for piranha.
  • Visit indigenous communities & the phenomenon of the Meeting of the Waters.
  • Stay in a beautiful eco-lodge deep in the Brazilian Amazon.

There’s nothing quite like waking up to the sounds of the Brazilian Amazon around you. With binoculars and cameras at the ready, you’ll explore the “Lungs of the Earth” from paddling through flooded forests and spotting pink river dolphins to nocturnal Amazon wildlife walks and fishing for piranha. Traveling responsibly is extremely important and nowhere more so than in the Amazon. We make sure to only use lodges that work sustainably and sensitively with the local indigenous population and that offer low impact excursions when exploring the Amazon’s flora and fauna.

Days 5-8

The Best of Rio

  • Private city tour, ride the Cable Car to view Rio’s coastline from Sugarloaf.
  • Traverse through the Tijuca Forest to Christ the Redeemer Statue.
  • Free day to enjoy the beaches, shopping and flavors of Rio de Janeiro.

Your exclusive city tour includes visits to all the highlights that will take you sky high to experience picture perfect views of the magical cityscape of Rio. Our private guides will also take you to more cultural and authentic landmarks with added flexibility to the tour to take into account what else is happening in this vibrant city. For your last evening in Brazil, you can add a special nightlife tour of Rio, where you’ll be surrounded by the sensual rhythms and beats of samba in the Lapa district.

Days 8 -10

Iguazu Falls

  • Private, up-close tours of Iguazu Falls in both Argentina and Brazil.
  • Incredible boat ride adventure through, up to and around the waterfalls.
  • Optional activities include a helicopter ride over Iguazu Falls.

Dive straight into the action (not literally, unless you want to) at Argentina’s side of Iguazu Falls. Your guide will help you avoid crowds and take you to the most hidden of the 270 waterfalls. The Brazilian side of the falls is entirely different, and ends with an up-close encounter of the largest waterfall, Garganta del Diablo (or Devil’s Throat). Don’t let the name fool you; it’s paradise!
