The Inca capital is also home to a number of incredible restaurants and romantic bars that will keep you entertained all night. You’ll have an extra day in Cusco towards the end of the tour to explore Cusco and its surroundings on your own.

Days 2-3

  • Inca past meets Peru’s present: impressive terraces, local communities & Inca sites.
  • Lunch at a spectacular Sacred Valley ranch with an award-winning Peruvian Paso Horse Show.
  • Scenic 1st Class Vistadome train ride to the foot of Machu Picchu.

Explore the unfathomable scenery, history and archaeology of this mystical valley surrounded by the peaks of the Andes. The days are filled to the brim with unforgettable views and cultural strongholds, but you can take everything at a leisurely pace! In addition to Inca ruins, you’ll see locals work the looms to produce those iconic textiles, visit Peru’s liveliest artisans’ market and enjoy a couple of gourmet meals along the way.

Days 3-4

  • The big event: See the sunrise & stay overnight at Machu Picchu!
  • Full day private guided tour and gourmet lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge.
  • Exclusive entrance & aerial view from a mountain peak above Machu Picchu.

Watch the sun rise over Machu Picchu in one of the quietest hours of the day. You’ll have this profound experience almost entirely to yourself, before hiking to the peak of one of the two limited entrance mountains surrounding Machu Picchu for an unrivalled bird’s eye view of the Inca city. Your private guide will provide you with all the facts, figures and legends while making sure you avoid the crowds to get the most from this once in a lifetime experience.

Days 4-5

  • Ride the 1st Class Vistadome train back through the Sacred Valley to Cusco.
  • Free day to explore Cusco’s main plaza, cobbled streets and surroundings.
  • Give local gastronomic delights such as cuy (guinea pig) a try in Cusco.

Having explored Cusco in more detail earlier on in the tour, you’ll now be able to enjoy the city’s beauty and vibrancy on your own. Many visitors even like to add an extra day in Cusco to give them more time to soak up the atmosphere, shop for high-quality alpaca garments and taste some of the local delicacies in Cusco’s top restaurants.

Days 5-6

  • Spectacular train journey across the Altiplano from Cusco to Lake Titicaca
  • Exclusive catamaran cruise & gourmet lunch as you sail across Lake Titicaca.
  • Soak up the magnificent view of Lake Titicaca from the Manco Kapac viewpoint.

The glistening blue of Lake Titicaca, surrounded by the white snow-capped Andean Mountains is the place of age-old legends, ancient customs, colorful garments and magnificent floating reed islands. Journey out to the Island of the Sun, the believed birthplace of the Inca Empire and home of the supreme Inca deity, Inti, before continuing the adventure to Bolivia’s capital of La Paz.

Days 6-8

  • Private tour of La Paz’s highlights: Witches Market, Cathedral, Tiwanaku Temple.
  • See the impressive tall spires of the Moon Valley near La Paz.
  • Admire the city’s eclectic mix of indigenous markets and modern architecture.

As the highest capital city in the world (12,000ft. a.s.l.!) the city of La Paz offers some stunning views amid the surrounding Andean Mountains. The quirky beauty of La Paz must be savored in order to experience the city’s many sides from its lively markets to interesting museums. Stare in awe at the colors of the mountains and sheer scale of the clay towers that rise up in the Moon Valley.

Days 8-10

  • Private guided tour of Sucre’s classical architecture & highlights.
  • Lunch at a local restaurant surrounded by the beauty of Sucre.
  • Admire the exquisite exterior of Santa Monica’s Church.

As Bolivia’s most beautiful city and heart of the country, Sucre’s whitewashed buildings and easy-going atmosphere is a joy to explore. With a wealth of preserved colonial architecture, quaint patios to relax in, a diverse range of spectacular churches and facades to explore, many visitors end up adding an extra day in Sucre as it surpasses all expectations.

Day 10-12

  • Half day private guided tour of Santa Cruz’s Historic Center.
  • See local handicrafts at the ArteCampo Association of Artisans.
  • Relax, sipping chicha while listening to camba music in the city’s main square.

Despite being Bolivia’s largest city, Santa Cruz has a small-town feel to it and presents the perfect balance between modernity and tradition. A melting pot of cultures, nationalities and traditions, Santa Cruz’s restaurant scene is one of the most exciting in Bolivia and is just as diverse and enticing as the city’s perfectly preserved historical monuments.
