Days 1-3


  • Your Peruvian adventure begins in the culinary capital of the world!

Where better than to begin your trip in the world’s gastronomy capital of Lima? The next couple of days you’ll whet your appetite with mouth-watering gastronomic experiences at some of the best restaurants and markets in the world. Lima is full of magnificent colonial and modern highlights and after all full day exploring its beauty, you’ll be on the doorstep of the world’s most thriving restaurant scene spread throughout the elegant suburbs of San Isidro and Miraflores.

Days 3-5

Ica and Nazca

  • Thrilling, guided dune buggy tour of Ica and the Huacachina Dunes.
  • Feel like Lawrence of Arabia at the summit of Ica’s high-rise dunes.
  • Explore Nazca’s fascinating, desert cemetery of Chauchilla.

Enjoy the journey south from Lima, snaking through the barren desert which is magically interspersed with fertile valleys producing the country’s best grapes for making Pisco. Climb aboard your dune buggy as you scale Ica’s highest sand dunes and find the desert paradise of the Huacachina Oasis. Explore the ancient Nazca culture and history at the Chauchilla Cemetery situated in the middle of the desert where you’ll find ancient Nazca textiles, fading ruins and over 400 tombs.

Days 5-7


  • Tour of Arequipa’s highlights: Plaza de Armas, Church of San Francisco.
  • Explore the remarkable and colorful Monastery of Santa Catalina.
  • Stunning view of Arequipa in the shadow of El Misti Volcano from Yanahuara.

Welcome to the White City of Peru’s Andes! Situated at the foot of the snow-capped El Misti Volcano, Arequipa is one of Peru’s best colonial treasures. The highlight of the city is the peaceful haven of the Santa Catalina Convent which after 400 years continues to function as a convent. Like a miniature city within a city, exploring Santa Catalina’s charming terracotta, blue and white-washed walled streets and fascinating history cannot be missed.

Days 7-9

Colca Canyon

  • Spot soaring condors at the famous Cruz del Condor.
  • Visit Colca’s quaint and traditional villages: Pinchollo, Maca, Yanque.
  • Optional activities include natural hot spring spa, Uyo Uyo ruins & more.

Passing rugged scenery and volcanoes, wild llamas and vicuñas, the road from Arequipa to the Colca Valley is one of the most spectacular in South America. Set amongst a beautiful landscape, the Colca Canyon is one of the deepest canyons in the world and from the Condor’s Cross you’ll be able to view Andean Condors, the world’s largest flying bird, majestically soaring above and below you.

Days 9-11

Lake Titicaca

  • Walk on the unique Uros Floating Islands, exploring the Uru’s history & culture.
  • Explore the Sillustani Towers where locals would bury their nobility.
  • See local Aymara Indians make colorful garments on Taquile Island.

The glistening blue of Lake Titicaca, surrounded by the white snow-capped Andean Mountains is the place of age-old legends, ancient customs, colorful garments and magnificent floating reed islands. Journey out to the floating Uros Islands which made from totora reeds feel springy yet reassuringly sturdy.

Days 11-12


  • Spectacular train journey across the Altiplano to Cusco
  • Free day to explore Cusco’s main plaza, cobbled streets and surroundings.
  • Taste the best Peruvian ‘fusion’ cuisine in the heart of the Inca Capital.

Regarded as one of the world’s best train journeys, you’ll travel right across the Altiplano from Lake Titicaca to the Inca Capital of Cusco. Pass by snow-capped peaks and herds of wild llama before descending into the lush, green valley where you’ll soon arrive into Cusco. You’ll have an extra day in Cusco towards the end of the tour to explore Cusco and its surroundings in more detail so for now, just enjoy the city’s beauty, vibrant atmosphere, shops selling high-quality alpaca garments and taste some of the local delicacies in Cusco’s top restaurants.

Days 12-14

The Sacred Valley

  • Inca past meets Peru’s present: Tour the Maras salt mines and Moray terraces.
  • Peruvian Paso horse demonstration groomed and bred at Wayra Ranch.
  • Scenic 1st Class Vistadome train ride to the foot of Machu Picchu.

Begin your trip by exploring the unfathomable scenery, history and archaeology of this mystical valley surrounded by the peaks of the Andes. The days are filled to the brim with unforgettable views and cultural strongholds, but you can take everything at a leisurely pace! In addition to Inca ruins, you’ll see locals work the looms to produce those iconic textiles, visit Peru’s liveliest artisans’ market and enjoy a couple of gourmet meals along the way.

Days 14-15

Machu Picchu!

  • The big event: See the sunrise & stay overnight at Machu Picchu!
  • Full day private guided tour and gourmet lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge.
  • Exclusive entrance & aerial view from a mountain peak above Machu Picchu.

Watch the sun rise over Machu Picchu in one of the quietest hours of the day. You’ll have this profound experience almost entirely to yourself, before hiking to the peak of one of the two limited entrance mountains surrounding Machu Picchu for an unrivalled bird’s eye view of the Inca city. Days 15-17


  • Ride the 1st Class Vistadome train back through the Sacred Valley to Cusco.

From the Temple of the Sun and Cathedral to the Inca Citadel of Sacsayhuaman and all the secret stops in between, Cusco is just ripe with historical stops and archaeological sites. The Inca capital is also home to a number of incredible restaurants and romantic bars that will keep you entertained all night. Many visitors like to add an extra day in Cusco to give them more time to soak up the atmosphere.

Days 17-20

The Amazon

  • Stay in a beautiful eco-lodge in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon.
  • Wildlife spotting & exploring the flooded forests of the Amazon.
  • Visit indigenous communities & learn about this magnificent ecosystem.

There’s nothing quite like waking up to the sound of monkeys and exotic birds. With binoculars and cameras at the ready, you’ll explore the “Lungs of the Earth” and the entire natural wonders of the Peruvian Amazon. Traveling responsibly is extremely important and nowhere more so than in the Amazon. Individuals traveling alone will not be sharing accommodation or transfers, and should expect a 30-40% increase in the per person price.
