8 Day Travel Itinerary

Our tours depart any day of the year, there are no fixed departure dates. It’s really simply, we’ve designed some of the best experiences that cover your “bucket list” must see stuff in each destination. You can trust in our 20 years of experience, that everything will run just like clockwork.

Days 1-4

  • Island Hopping through Galapagos Islands (4 to 8 Day programs available).
  • Incredible photo opportunities with the near-tame wildlife of the Galapagos.
  • Expert guide helping you to explore Charles Darwin’s Enchanted Isles.

The big difference between a Galápagos Island Hopping program and a Galapagos Cruise, is that your accommodation will be on one of the inhabited islands (Isabela, Santa Cruz and San Cristóbal) and from here you have organized day tours to sites around the islands and/or nearby uninhabited islands daily. The great benefit of a Galápagos Island Hopping program is the flexibility of your dates, choice of level of accommodation you prefer, and the freedom to choose where you want to go for dinner in the evenings. It’s also a bit more easy on the wallet, in comparison to the cruises which are almost double the price. Keeping in mind that there are a number of Galapagos experiences ranging from 4 to 8 days. The Galapagos Islands acted as inspiration for Darwin and is likely to do the same for you. Adorable seals, lethargic turtles, spectacular Blue-Footed boobies and nonchalant sharks and rays reside in the archipelago, characterized by lava fields, volcanic craters, lagoons, white sandy beaches and azure waters. We’ll guide you to make sure the experience is personalized and suitable to your tastes that will make it near impossible for you to exaggerate the sheer wonder of exploring the Galapagos Islands.

Days 4-5

  • Visit the new Turtle Breeding Center on San Cristobal Island, Galapagos.
  • Travel from the wildlife rich Galapagos Islands to explore Peru and the Inca Empire.
  • Catch a good night’s sleep before tomorrow’s flight to Cusco.

Before leaving the Galapagos Islands and its wildlife residents behind you, you’ll visit the Galapaguera Turtle Breeding Center to learn about the conservation methods as well as meet some of the slow moving residents. As most flights don’t arrive into Lima until the evening, you’ll stay near to the airport so you’ll have an easy and stress-free morning the next day as you simply cross over to the airport for your flight to Cusco.

Days 5-6

  • Private tour of Cusco’s highlights including aerial city views from Sacsayhuaman.
  • Explore Cusco’s authentic museums, Inca ruins, unique shops & enchanting streets.
  • Taste the best Peruvian ‘fusion’ cuisine in the heart of the Inca Capital.

From the Temple of the Sun and Cathedral to the Inca Citadel of Sacsayhuaman and all the secret stops in between, Cusco is just ripe with historical stops and archaeological sites. The Inca capital is also home to a number of incredible restaurants and romantic bars that will keep you entertained all night. You’ll have an extra day in Cusco towards the end of the tour to explore Cusco and its surroundings on your own.

Days 6-7

  • Peruvian Paso horse demonstration groomed and bred at Wayra Ranch.
  • Scenic 1st Class Vistadome train ride to the foot of Machu Picchu.
  • Half day private guided tour of Machu Picchu, lunch at Sanctuary Lodge.

Explore the unfathomable scenery, history and archaeology of this mystical valley surrounded by the peaks of the Andes. The days are filled to the brim with unforgettable views and cultural strongholds, but you can take everything at a leisurely pace! In addition to Inca ruins, you’ll see locals work the looms to produce those iconic textiles, visit Peru’s liveliest artisans’ market and enjoy a couple of gourmet meals along the way. Watch the sun rise over Machu Picchu in one of the quietest hours of the day. You’ll have this profound experience almost entirely to yourself, before hiking to the peak of one of the two limited entrance mountains surrounding Machu Picchu for an unrivalled bird’s eye view of the Inca city. Your private guide will provide you with all the facts, figures and legends while making sure you avoid the crowds to get the most from this once in a lifetime experience.

Days 7-8

  • Ride the 1st Class Vistadome train back through the Sacred Valley to Cusco.
  • Free day to explore Cusco’s main plaza, cobbled streets and surroundings.
  • Give local gastronomic delights such as cuy (guinea pig) a try in Cusco.

Having explored Cusco in more detail earlier on in the tour, you’ll now be able to enjoy the city’s beauty and vibrancy on your own. Many visitors even like to add an extra day in Cusco to give them more time to soak up the atmosphere, shop for high-quality alpaca garments and taste some of the local delicacies in Cusco’s top restaurants.
